Palestinian Leader in Africa

hamas leader in tunisia

Last week, Palestinian leader Ismail Haniyeh was invited to Tunisia. This came after a recent visit to Egypt and Turkey.

What?s interesting is that this visit wasn?t mentioned by any of the mainstream news. Why not? The answer is clear; the mainstream media do not want Hamas to be seen as having any recognition in the Arab or African world. Zionist entities in media and politics have relied upon Hamas, even though it was democratically elected by the Palestinian people, to be seen as nothing more than a rebel ?Islamist? faction, who are bent on ?terrorist? activities. This is necessary to give weight to the Israeli narrative of not having anybody in Palestine to speak ?peace? with.

On the media?s part this is just an extension of their propaganda; this time rather than airing half- truths or lies relating to Palestine, they?ve omitted a news story. Just as they omitted news when the Mavi Marmara was attacked and then aired pro Israeli propaganda on the matter and just as they failed to report what was happening with the ?Road to Hope? activists in October ?10, when some of the activists were hijacked on a Greek ship.

As for Tunisia, inviting Ismail Haniyeh shows the progress that Tunisia is making not only internally, after having their first democratic election last year but with other nations also. Tunisia is showing which side it stands on with regards to the Israel- Palestine conflict, and for that it needs to commended.
