Women's college basketball: OU at Texas A&M

It's never fun to play the defending national champion, especially in the champion's building. Sunday, however, is not mission impossible for the Sooners. For one thing, they are surging, with six straight wins in which they look stronger with each victory. OU annihilated Iowa State last Wednesday 80-51. Aaryn Ellenberg scored a game-high 21 points, but then the Sooners are used to her contributions. Stepping forward to join her was Joanna McFarland. The junior forward tied her career high with 19 points while adding a game-high nine rebounds.

So OU is playing well. Texas A&M is not.

The Aggies opened Big 12 Conference play with a 71-69 overtime loss at Kansas State Wednesday night. That marked their third loss in five games.
